رَحْمَةُ الضُّعَفَاءِ تَسْتَنْزِلُ الرَّحْمَةَ
Being compassionate to the weak brings down [divine] mercy

عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ يَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ مَنْ فَوْقَهُ كَيْفَ لَا يَرْحَمُ مَنْ دُونَهُ
I am amazed at the one who hopes for the mercy of one who is above him, how can he not show compassion to the one who is below him?!

مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ لَمْ يُرْحَمْ
One who shows no mercy will be shown no mercy

مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمِ النَّاسَ مَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ رَحْمَتَهُ
One who shows no mercy to the people, Allah will withhold His mercy from him

مَنْ تَرَحَّمَ رُحِمَ
One who shows mercy is shown mercy

كَمَا تَرْحَمُ تُرْحَمُ
Just as you show mercy, mercy will be shown to you

مَنْ لَمْ تَسْكُنِ الرَّحْمَةُ قَلْبَهُ قَلَّ لِقَاؤُهَا لَهُ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِهِ
One in whose heart there exists no mercy, meets less of it [mercy] when he needs it

مِنَ الْكِرَامِ تَكُونُ الرَّحْمَةُ
It is by the honourable that mercy is shown

مِنْ أَوْكَدِ أَسْبَابِ الْعَقْلِ رَحْمَةُ الْجُهَّالِ [الْجَاهِلِ]
One of the surest means of intelligence is showing mercy to the ignorant

أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الْمُحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهَا
The most deserving of [showing] mercy is the one who [himself] is in need of it

أَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ عَالِمٌ يَجْرِي عَلَيْهِ حُكْمُ جَاهِلٍ وَكَرِيمٌ يَسْتَوْلِي عَلَيْهِ لَئِيمٌ وَبَرٌّ تَسَلَّطَ عَلَيْهِ فَاجِرٌ
Of all the people, the most deserving of compassion are: the scholar upon whom an ignorant person passes judgment, the noble person who is dominated by a vile person and the virtuous person who is under the command of a vicious person

أَبْلَغُ مَا تُسْتَدَرُّ بِهِ الرَّحْمَةُ أَنْ تُضْمَرَ لِجَمِيعِ النَّاسِ الرَّحْمَةُ
The most effective thing in making mercy flow forth [and surround you] is having mercy in your heart for all the people
