الزَّوْجَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ أَحَدُ الْكَسْبَيْنِ
A righteous wife is one of the two [lofty] acquisitions

An agreeable wife is one of the two comforts

الْأُنْسُ فِي ثَلَاثَةٍ الزَّوْجَةِ الْمُوَافِقَةِ وَالْوَلَدِ الصَّالِحِ [الْبَارِّ] وَالْأَخِ الْمُوَافِقِ
Intimacy is in three [people]: A compatible wife, a righteous child and an agreeable brother

أَنْعَمُ النَّاسِ عَيْشاً مَنْ مَنَحَهُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ الْقَنَاعَةَ وَأَصْلَحَ لَهُ زَوْجَهُ
The person with the most blessed lifestyle is one who has been granted contentment by Allah, the Glorified, and who has been given a good wife

شَرُّ الزَّوْجَاتِ مَنْ لَا تُؤَاتِي [لا تؤتى]
The worst of wives is the one who does not comply [with her husband’s wishes]

صِيَانَةُ المَرْأَةِ أَنْعَمُ لِحَالِهَا وَأَدْوَمُ لِجَمَالِهَا
Guarding the woman [from people and places that would harm her chastity] is better for her condition and more lasting for her beauty

مَوْتُ الزَّوْجَةِ حُزْنُ سَاعَةٍ
The death of one’s wife is the sadness of the hour
