الرضا بالكفاف
الرِّضَا غَنَاءٌ وَالسَّخَطُ عَنَاءٌ
Satisfaction is abundance while disappointment is agony

الرِّضَا بِالْكَفَافِ يُؤَدِّي إِلَى الْعَفَافِ
Being pleased with what suffices leads to virtue

الرِّضَا بِالْكَفَافِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّعْيِ فِي الْإِسْرَافِ
Being pleased with what is sufficient is better than striving for lavishness

ارْضَ بِمَا قُسِمَ لَكَ تَكُنْ مُؤْمِناً
Be satisfied with that which has been apportioned for you and you will be a [true] believer

ارْضَ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ بِمَا قُسِمَ لَكَ تَعِشْ غَنِيّاً
Be satisfied with the sustenance that has been apportioned for you and you will live a life of prosperity

أَغْنَى النَّاسِ الرَّاضِي بِقَسْمِ اللَّهِ
The wealthiest of people is one who is pleased with what Allah has allotted to him

خُذْ مِنْ قَلِيلِ الدُّنْيَا مَا يَكْفِيكَ وَدَعْ مِنْ كَثِيرِهَا مَا يُطْغِيكَ
Take from the little of this world that which suffices you and leave from its abundance that which makes you transgress

حُسْنُ التَّقْدِيرِ مَعَ الْكَفَافِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّعْيِ فِي الْإِسْرَافِ
Good estimation with sufficiency is better than striving in extravagance

حُسْنُ الْعَفَافِ وَالرِّضَا بِالْكَفَافِ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ الْإِيمَانِ
Virtuous chastity and contentment with what suffices are from the pillars of faith

خُذُوا مِنْ كَرَائِمِ [كَرِيمِ] أَمْوَالِكُمْ مَا يَرْفَعُ بِهِ رَبُّكُمْ سَنِيَّ أَعْمَالِكُمْ
Take from the most precious of your possessions and spend it on that for which your Lord will elevate your lofty deeds

رَأْسُ الْقَنَاعَةِ الرِّضَا
The cornerstone of contentment is satisfaction [with the decree of Allah]

طُوبَى لِمَنْ تَحَلَّى بِالْعَفَافِ وَرَضِيَ بِالْكَفَافِ
Blessed is the one who adorns himself with virtue and is satisfied with what suffices

طُوبَى لِمَنْ خَافَ الْعِقَابَ وَعَمِلَ لِلْحِسَابِ وَصَاحَبَ الْعَفَافَ وَقَنِعَ بِالْكَفَافِ وَرَضِيَ عَنِ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَهُ
Blessed is the one who fears the punishment [of the Hereafter], works for the Reckoning, espouses continence, is content with what suffices [him] and is pleased with [the decree of] Allah, the Glorified

كُلُّ مُقْتَصَرٍ عَلَيْهِ كَافٍ
Everything that one is contented with, suffices

كَفَى بِالرِّضَا غِنًى
Satisfaction suffices as abundance

كَفَى بِالسَّخَطِ عَنَاءً
Displeasure is enough of a suffering

مَنْ رَضِيَ [قَنِعَ] بِقِسْمِهِ اسْتَرَاحَ
One who is satisfied with his [allotted] portion is at ease

مَنْ رَضِيَ بِقِسْمِهِ لَمْ يُسْخِطْهُ أَحَدٌ
One who is satisfied with his portion will not be angered by anyone

مَنِ اقْتَصَرَ عَلَى قَدْرِهِ كَانَ أَبْقَى لَهُ
One who limits himself to his [rightful] status, it will be more lasting for him

مَنِ اقْتَصَرَ عَلَى الْكَفَافِ تَعَجَّلَ الرَّاحَةَ وَتَبَوَّأَ خَفْضَ الدَّعَةِ
One who limits himself to what suffices hastens comfort and lives in an abode of ease

مَنْ رَضِيَ بِقَسْمِ اللَّهِ لَمْ يَحْزَنْ عَلَى مَا فَاتَهُ
One who is pleased with the share allotted to him by Allah does not grieve for that which escapes him

لَا يُذْهِبُ الْفَاقَةَ مِثْلُ الرِّضَا وَالْقُنُوعِ
Nothing takes away poverty like satisfaction and contentment
