آثار السخاء : يزرع المحبة
السَّخَاءُ يَزْرَعُ الْمَحَبَّةَ
Generosity sows [the seeds of] love

السَّخَاءُ يُثْمِرُ الصَّفَاءَ
Generosity bears the fruit of [spiritual] purity

السَّخَاءُ يَكْسِبُ الْمَحَبَّةَ وَيُزَيِّنُ الْأَخْلَاقَ
Generosity earns love [of people] and adorns one’s character

السَّخَاءُ يُمَحِّصُ الذُّنُوبَ وَيَجْلِبُ مَحَبَّةَ الْقُلُوبِ
Generosity clears away sins and attracts the love of the hearts

جُودُ الرَّجُلِ يُحَبِّبُهُ إِلَى أَضْدَادِهِ وَبُخْلُهُ يُبَغِّضُهُ إِلَى أَوْلَادِهِ
The generosity of a man endears him to his rivals and his stinginess makes him hated by his [own] children

رِفْقُ الْمَرْءِ وَسَخَاؤُهُ يُحَبِّبُهُ إِلَى أَعْدَائِهِ
The gentleness of a person and his generosity endear him to his enemies

سَبَبُ الْمَحَبَّةِ السَّخَاءُ
Generosity is the cause of adoration

عَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّخَاءِ وَحُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَزِيدَانِ الرِّزْقَ وَيُوجِبَانِ الْمَحَبَّةَ
Espouse generosity and good etiquette for verily these two [traits] increase sustenance and bring about adoration

فِي السَّخَاءِ الْمَحَبَّةُ
In generosity there is affection

كَثْرَةُ السَّخَاءِ تُكْثِرُ الْأَوْلِيَاءَ وَتَسْتَصْلِحُ [يَسْتَنْصِحُ] الْأَعْدَاءَ
Abundance of generosity increases [one’s] friends and reforms [one’s] enemies

مَا اسْتُجْلِبَتِ الْمَحَبَّةُ بِمِثْلِ السَّخَاءِ وَالرِّفْقِ وَحُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ
Nothing brings about love like generosity, companionship and good character
