الشَّهَوَاتُ قَاتِلَاتٌ
Lustful desires are lethal

الشَّهَوَاتُ سُمُومٌ قَاتِلَاتٌ

الِانْقِيَادُ لِلشَّهْوَةِ [مِنْ] أَدْوَإِ الدَّاءِ
Yielding to lust is the worst disease

الشَّهْوَةُ أَحَدُ الْمُغْوِيَيْنِ
Lust is one of the two causes of deviation

الشَّهَوَاتُ أَعْلَالٌ قَاتِلَاتٌ وَأَفْضَلُ دَوَائِهَا اقْتِنَاءُ الصَّبْرِ عَنْهَا
Lustful desires are fatal illnesses, and the best cure for them is acquiring patience against them

احْفَظْ بَطْنَكَ وَفَرْجَكَ فَفِيهِمَا فِتْنَتُكَ
Protect your stomach and your private parts from what is forbidden

أَوَّلُ الشَّهْوَةِ [الشَّهَوَاتِ] طَرَبٌ وَآخِرُهَا عَطَبٌ
The beginning of lust is pleasure and its end is harm

سَبَبُ الشَّرِّ غَلَبَةُ الشَّهْوَةِ
Being overpowered by lust is the cause of evil

لَنْ يَهْلِكَ الْعَبْدُ حَتَّى يُؤْثِرَ شَهْوَتَهُ عَلَى دِينِهِ
A servant will never be destroyed until he prefers his lust over his religion

مَنْ غَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبُهُ وَشَهْوَتُهُ فَهُوَ فِي [مِنْ] حَيِّزِ الْبَهَائِمِ
One whose anger overpowers him is susceptible to its harm

مَنْ لَمْ يَمْلِكْ شَهْوَتَهُ لَمْ يَمْلِكْ عَقْلَهُ
One who does not control his lust does not control his intellect

مَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَهُ يَأْتِي إِلَّا فِي شَهْوَةٍ
Constant sinning cuts [one’s] sustenance

لَا فِتْنَةَ أَعْظَمُ مِنَ الشَّهْوَةِ
There is no trial [and temptation] greater than lust

لَا لَذَّةَ فِي شَهْوَةٍ فَانِيَةٍ
There is no pleasure in transient desires

مَا أَحْسَنَ بِالْإِنْسَانِ أَنْ لَا يَشْتَهِيَ مَا لَا يَنْبَغِي
How good it would be for people not to desire that which they ought not to [crave for]
