الفكر رأس الاستبصار
أَفْكِرْ تَسْتَبْصِرْ
Think and you will perceive

تَفَكُّرُكَ يُفِيدُكَ الِاسْتِبْصَارَ وَيَكْسِبُكَ الِاعْتِبَارَ
Your thinking leads to your gaining insight, and acquiring lessons [from the past]

بِالاسْتِبْصَارِ يَحْصُلُ الِاعْتِبَارُ
It is through observation [and reflection] that lessons are learned

رَأْسُ الِاسْتِبْصَارِ الْفِكْرَةُ
The cornerstone of insight is contemplation

مَنِ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْأُمُورَ أَبْصَرَ
One who faces [and anticipates] issues [with thought and reflection], perceives

لَا بَصِيرَةَ لِمَنْ لَا فِكْرَ لَهُ
One who does not ponder has no insight
