المداراة و قلة المماراة ، رأي العاقل
رَأْيُ الرَّجُلِ مِيزَانُ عَقْلِهِ
A person’s opinion is the gauge of his intelligence

The opinion of an intelligent person saves

أَلَا وَإِنَّ اللَّبِيبَ مَنِ اسْتَقْبَلَ وُجُوهَ الْآرَاءِ بِفِكْرٍ صَائِبٍ وَنَظَرَ فِي الْعَوَاقِبِ
Indeed, the intelligent person is one who considers the different [expressed] opinions with correct reasoning and considers the consequences [of matters]

حَقٌّ عَلَى الْعَاقِلِ أَنْ يُضِيفَ إِلَى رَأْيِهِ رَأْيَ الْعُقَلَاءِ وَيَضُمَّ إِلَى عِلْمِهِ عُلُومَ الْحُكَمَاءِ
It behooves the intelligent one to add the opinion of the intelligent people to his opinion and to merge the knowledge of the wise with his knowledge

إِذَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنْ عَقْلِكَ شَيْئاً فَاقْتَدِ بِرَأْيِ عَاقِلٍ يُزِيلُ مَا أَنْكَرْتَهُ
When you are unable to understand something with your intellect then follow the opinion of the intelligent one and he will remove your ignorance about it

الْعَاقِلُ مَنِ اتَّهَمَ رَأْيَهُ وَلَمْ يَثِقْ بِكُلِّ مَا تُسَوِّلُ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ
The intelligent person is one who suspects his [own] opinion and does not trust everything that his self makes decorous for him
