فضيلة العلم
غَايَةُ الْفَضَائِلِ الْعِلْمُ
The highest of all merits is knowledge

Many a knowledge may lead to your misguidance

الْعِلْمُ لِقَاحُ الْمَعْرِفَةِ
Knowledge aids [and strengthens] reflection

الْعُلُومُ نُزْهَةُ الْأُدَبَاءِ
Sciences are the recreation of the men of erudition

الْعِلْمُ أَفْضَلُ الْأَنِيسَيْنِ
Knowledge is the better of the two intimate companions

مَنْ خَلَا بِالْعِلْمِ لَمْ تُوحِشْهُ خَلْوَةٌ
One who is not guided by knowledge is misguided by ignorance

غِنَى الْعَاقِلِ بِعِلْمِهِ
The sufficiency of an intelligent person is through his knowledge

الْعِلْمُ لَا يَنْتَهِي
Knowledge does not end

لَا سَمِيرَ كَالْعِلْمِ
There is no nightly conversation partner like knowledge

شَيْئَانِ لَا تُبْلَغُ غَايَتُهُمَا الْعِلْمُ وَالْعَقْلُ
There are two things the ends of which can never be reached: knowledge and intellect

الْعِلْمُ يُنْجِيكَ الْجَهْلُ يُرْدِيكَ
Knowledge is loftiness, ignorance is misguidance

الْعِلْمُ يُنْجِدُ الْحِكْمَةُ تُرْشِدُ
Knowledge rescues, Wisdom guides [one] to the right

الْعِلْمُ وِرَاثَةٌ كَرِيمَةٌ وَنِعْمَةٌ عَمِيمَةٌ
Knowledge is an honourable heritage and a universal blessing

عَلَيْكَ بِالْعِلْمِ فَإِنَّهُ وِرَاثَةٌ كَرِيمَةٌ
The knowledge of a hypocrite is [only] on his tongue

حَسَبُ الْمَرْءِ عِلْمُهُ وَجَمَالُهُ عَقْلُهُ
The distinction of a person is [by] his knowledge and his beauty is his intellect

الْعِلْمُ حَاكِمٌ وَالْمَالُ مَحْكُومٌ عَلَيْهِ
Knowledge is a governor while wealth is governed

الْعِلْمُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَالِ الْعِلْمُ يَحْرُسُكَ وَأَنْتَ تَحْرُسُ الْمَالَ
Knowledge is better than wealth; knowledge guards you while you guard wealth
