ذكر الآخرة و آثارها: ترك المعاصي
مَنْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذِكْرِ الْآخِرَةِ قَلَّتْ مَعْصِيَتُهُ
Whoever increases his remembrance of the Hereafter, his transgression reduces

مَنْ أَحَبَّ الدَّارَ الْبَاقِيَةَ لَهِيَ عَنِ اللَّذَّاتِ
One who loves the everlasting abode becomes oblivious to [worldly] pleasures

مَنِ اشْتَاقَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ سَلَا عَنِ الشَّهَوَاتِ
One who yearns for Paradise forgets his [worldly] desires

مَنْ أَشْفَقَ مِنَ النَّارِ اجْتَنَبَ الْمُحَرَّمَاتِ
One who is afraid of hellfire keeps away from that which has been forbidden

مَنْ خَافَ الْعِقَابَ انْصَرَفَ عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ
One who fears [divine] punishment desists from evil actions

اسْعَوْا فِي فَكَاكِ رِقَابِكُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُغْلَقَ رَهَائِنُهَا
Strive to free yourselves before your ransoms are blocked

مَنْ هَالَهُ مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ نَكَصَ عَلى عَقِبَيْهِ
He who is frightened by what is in front of him retreats [and flees]

مَا غَدَرَ مَنْ أَيْقَنَ بِالْمَرْجِعِ
He who is certain about the place of [final] return does not act treacherously

ذِكْرُ الْآخِرَةِ دَوَاءٌ وَشِفَاءٌ
Remembrance of the Hereafter is a cure and a remedy
