إنك مخلوق للآخرة فاعمل لها
إِنَّكَ مَخْلُوقٌ لِلْآخِرَةِ فَاعْمَلْ لَهَا
Verily you have been created for the Hereafter, so work for it!

إِنَّكُمْ إِلَى الِاهْتِمَامِ بِمَا يَصْحَبُكُمْ إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ أَحْوَجُ مِنْكُمْ إِلَى كُلِّ مَا يَصْحَبُكُمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا
Verily you are in greater need of being concerned about that which will accompany you to the Hereafter than of all that accompanies you in this world

سَعَادَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي إِحْرَازِ دِينِهِ وَالْعَمَلِ لِآخِرَتِهِ
The felicity of a man is in safeguarding his faith and working for his Hereafter

كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِبَدَنِكَ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ بِقَلْبِكَ وَعَمَلِكَ
Be in this world with your body and in the Hereafter with your heart and your actions

مَنْ عَمِلَ لِلْمَعَادِ ظَفِرَ بِالسَّدَادِ
One who works for the Hereafter attains success through the right [course]

مَنْ عَمَّرَ آخِرَتَهُ بَلَغَ آمَالَهُ
One who develops his Hereafter achieves his aspirations

لَا يَشْغَلَنَّكَ عَنِ الْعَمَلِ لِلْآخِرَةِ شُغُلٌ فَإِنَّ الْمُدَّةَ قَصِيرَةٌ
Never let anything occupy you from working for the Hereafter for indeed the time is short

يَا عَبِيدَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْعَامِلِينَ لَهَا إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي النَّهَارِ تَبِيعُونَ وَتَشْتَرُونَ وَفِي اللَّيْلِ عَلَى فُرُوشِكُمْ تَتَقَلَّبُونَ وَتَنَامُونَ وَفِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ تَغْفُلُونَ وَبِالْعَمَلِ تُسَوِّفُونَ فَمَتَى تُفَكِّرُونَ فِي الْإِرْشَادِ وَمَتَى تُقَدِّمُونَ الزَّادَ وَمَتَى تَهْتَمُّون بِأَمْرِ الْمَعَادِ
servants of the world and those who work for it! When you are selling and buying in the day time and tossing in your beds and sleeping at night, and all the while you are oblivious to the Hereafter and postpone [good] actions, then when do you think of guidance and prepare your provisions, and when do you become concerned about the affairs of the Hereafter?

أَكْثَرُ سُرُورِكَ عَلَى مَا قَدَّمْتَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَحُزْنِكَ عَلَى مَا فَاتَ مِنْهُ
Increase your gladness for that which you have sent forth of good deeds and [increase] your sadness for that which you have missed from it

تَخَفَّفُوا فَإِنَّ الْغَايَةَ أَمَامَكُمْ وَالسَّاعَةَ مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ تَحْدُوكُمْ
Lighten your burden, for indeed the goal is in front of you and time is behind you, driving you forward

تَخَفَّفُوا تَلْحَقُوا فَإِنَّمَا يَنْتَظِرُ بِأَوَّلِكُمْ آخِرُكُمْ
Lighten your burden so as to catch up [with those who are ahead you], for indeed the last among you are only being awaited by the first among you [who have preceded them]

تَيَسَّرْ لِسَفَرِكَ وَشَمَّ بَرْقَ النَّجَاةِ وَارْحَلْ مَطَايَا التَّشْمِيرِ
Prepare for your journey, keep your gaze on the flash of salvation and travel on swift [and girded] mounts [of good deeds]
