أبناء الدنيا
النَّاسُ أَبْنَاءٌ الدُّنْيَا وَالْوَلَدُ مَطْبُوعٌ عَلَى حُبِّ أُمِّهِ
People are children of this world, and a child is naturally inclined to love its mother

كُونُوا مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّ كُلَّ وَلَدٍ سَيَلْحَقُ بِأُمِّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Be from the children of the Hereafter and do not be from the children of this world, for every child will cling to his mother on the Day of Resurrection

خُلْطَةُ أَبْنَاءِ الدُّنْيَا رَأْسُ الْبَلْوَى وَفَسَادُ التَّقْوَى
Mingling with those who are attached to this world is the primary cause of affliction and corruption of piety

Mingling with those who are attached to this world tarnishes religion and weakens certitude

مَنْ قَصَّرَ نَظَرَهُ عَلَى أَبْنَاءِ الدُّنْيَا عَمِيَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ الْهُدَى
One who fixes his gaze on the children of this world is blinded from the path of guidance
