ما يوجب الهداية
هُدِيَ [هَدَى اللَّهُ] مَنِ ادَّرَعَ لِبَاسَ الصَّبْرِ وَالْيَقِينِ
The one who wears the garment of piety and certitude is [truly] guided

هُدِيَ مَنْ تَجَلْبَبَ جِلْبَابَ الدِّينِ
Guided is the one who puts on the garment of religion

هُدِيَ [هَدَى اللَّهُ] مَنْ حَسُنَ إِسْلَامُهُ
One who practices Islam properly is [truly] guided

هُدِيَ مَنْ سَلَّمَ مَقَادَتَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَوَلِيِّ أَمْرِهِ
Guided is the one who submits to the guidance of Allah and His Prophet and the one vested with His authority

هُدِيَ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ إِيمَانَهُ
One who purifies his faith is guided

هُدِيَ مَنْ أَطَاعَ رَبَّهُ وَخَافَ ذَنْبَهُ
Guided is the one who obeys his Lord and fears his sins

إِذَا أَنْتَ هَدَيْتَ لِقَصْدِكَ فَكُنْ أَخْشَعَ مَا تَكُونُ لِرَبِّكَ
When you are guided to your goal then be most submissive in front of your Lord

رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْداً سَمِعَ حُكْماً فَوَعَى وَدُعِيَ [فَدُعِيَ] إِلَى رَشَادٍ فَدَنَى وَأَخَذَ بِحُجْزَةِ هَادٍ فَنَجَا
May Allah have mercy on the servant who hears a ruling so he heeds it, is invited to the right path so he approaches it, and holds on to the guide so he is saved

طُوبَى لِمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقَ السَّلَامَةِ بِبَصَرِ مَنْ بَصَّرَهُ وَطَاعَةِ هَادٍ أَمَرَهُ
Blessed is he who follows the course of peace by the sight of the one who shows him the way and by obeying the guide who instructs him

فَازَ مَنِ اسْتَصْبَحَ بِنُورِ الْهُدَى وَخَالَفَ دَوَاعِيَ الْهَوَى وَجَعَلَ [جمل] الْإِيمَانَ عُدَّةَ مَعَادِهِ وَالتَّقْوَى ذُخْرَهُ وَزَادَهُ
Successful is the one who gets illumination from the lamp of guidance, opposes the calls of [his] vain desire, makes faith the equipage for his Hereafter and [makes] God-wariness his reserve and provision

قَدْ دُلِلْتُمْ إِنِ اسْتَدْلَلْتُمْ وَوُعِظْتُمْ إِنِ اتَّعَظْتُمْ وَنُصِحْتُمْ إِنِ انْتَصَحْتُمْ
You have been guided if you seek guidance and have been admonished if you seek admonishment and have been advised if you seek advice

كَفَاكَ مِنْ عَقْلِكَ مَا أَبَانَ لَكَ رُشْدَكَ مِنْ غَيِّكَ
It suffices for your intellect to distinguish for you right guidance from error

لَقَدْ بُصِّرْتُمْ إِنْ أَبْصَرْتُمْ وَأُسْمِعْتُمْ إِنْ سَمِعْتُمْ وَهُدِيتُمْ إِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُمْ
You are shown if you observe, made to hear if you listen, and guided if you seek guidance

لَقَدْ جَاهَرَتْكُمُ الْعِبَرُ وَزَجَرَكُمْ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ وَمَا بَلَّغَ عَنِ اللَّهِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مِثْلُ النُّذُرِ
Lessons [from events] have indeed become evident for you, and you have been deterred by what is in it of a deterrence; and after the Prophet of Allah, none have conveyed [the message] from Allah like the Warners

يَعْطِفُ الْهَوَى عَلَى الْهُدَى إِذَا عَطَفُوا الْهُدَى عَلَى الْهَوَى وَيَعْطِفُ الرَّأْيَ عَلَى الْقُرْآنِ إِذَا عَطَفُوا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى الرَّأْيِ
He will direct desires towards guidance when [people] will have turned guidance towards desires, and he will turn his opinion towards the Qur’an when they turn the Qur’an towards their opinions
