حقيقة الإيمان
الْإِيمَانُ شَجَرَةٌ أَصْلُهَا الْيَقِينُ وَفَرْعُهَا التُّقَى وَنُورُهَا الْحَيَاءُ وَثَمَرُهَا السَّخَاءُ
Faith is a tree, its root is certitude, its branch is piety, its sunlight is modesty and its fruit is generosity

الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ بِاللِّسَانِ وَعَمَلٌ بِالْأَرْكَانِ
Faith is acknowledging with the tongue and acting with the limbs

الْإِيمَانُ وَالْإِخْلَاصُ وَالْيَقِينُ وَالْوَرَعُ الصَّبْرُ وَالرِّضَا بِمَا يَأْتِي بِهِ الْقَدَرُ
Faith, sincerity, certitude and piety are [encapsulated in] patience and acceptance of what has been decreed [by Allah]

أَصْلُ الْإِيمَانِ حُسْنُ التَّسْلِيمِ لِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ
The foundation of faith is total submission to the will of Allah

الْإِيمَانُ إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ
Faith is sincerity in action

الْإِيمَانُ صَبْرٌ فِي الْبَلَاءِ وَشُكْرٌ فِي الرَّخَاءِ
Faith is patience in tribulation and gratitude in ease

فَمِنَ الْإِيمَانِ مَا يَكُونُ ثَابِتاً [تَائِباً] مُسْتَقِرّاً فِي الْقُلُوبِ وَمِنْهُ مَا يَكُونُ عَوَارِيَ بَيْنَ الْقُلُوبِ وَالصُّدُورِ
One type of faith is that which is firmly fixed in the hearts and another is that which shifts between the hearts and breasts [without being firmly fixed in the hearts]

كَسْبُ الْإِيمَانِ لُزُومُ الْحَقِّ وَنُصْحُ الْخَلْقِ
Acquiring faith is [through] adhering to the truth and being sincere with the creatures

مِلَاكُ الْإِيمَانِ حُسْنُ الْإِيقَانِ
The basis of faith is unwavering certitude

يَحْتَاجُ الْإِيمَانُ إِلَى الْإِيقَانِ
Faith requires certitude
